FAQ
What is a Bitaxe and how does solo mining work?
A Bitaxe is a small, standalone Bitcoin ASIC miner. It mines independently and tries to find a full Bitcoin block on its own — the odds are low, but if it succeeds, the entire block reward (currently 3.125 BTC) goes to you.
How much Bitcoin will I realistically earn?
Solo mining with a single Bitaxe is a lottery, not a steady income — at current network difficulty, finding a block on your own can take a very long time. Most people run one for fun, to learn, and for a small (real, if rare) shot at the full block reward.
Do I need technical skills to set it up?
No advanced skills needed. Plug it in, connect it to your Wi-Fi through the built-in web interface, and point it at a public or your own mining pool/node. Most units are running within 10–15 minutes.
How loud is it and where should I put it?
It has a small cooling fan, similar in volume to a desktop PC. Most customers place it on a desk, shelf, or in a utility room. Good airflow around it helps keep temperatures (and noise) down.
How much does it cost to run?
Power draw is typically in the 15–25W range depending on the model — comparable to a couple of LED light bulbs. Check your local electricity price to estimate the exact monthly cost.
What's the shipping time and do you offer a warranty?
Shipping times and warranty terms are listed on each product page and at checkout. Reach out via our Contact Us page if you have questions about a specific order.
